Grant County Fair

Food and Commercial Space Agreement

The following terms are part of the food/commercial space agreement governing activities at the Grant County Fair, Herman, MN. Contracts expire with the close of the fair each year.

1. No exhibitor/vendor will be allowed to set up unless the space to be occupied has been paid in full, state sales tax form is on file, food permit, and insurance forms are on file.
2. Activity by exhibitor must be conducted only from assigned space located on the Grant County Fairgrounds.
3. If for any reason, the designated bank returns a check, a fee of $30.00 will be charged to the exhibitor.
4. This agreement and the location it covers may not be transferred by any means to another party without the written consent of the Grant County Agricultural Association.
5. Exhibitor hereby agrees to indemnify and hold Grant County Agricultural Association harmless for any debt, liability, or judgment incurred for any cause of action, claim, or damage, liability, cost or expense to persons or property resulting directly or indirectly from acts, or omissions, merchandise sold, or consumed, presence or operation of said exhibitor and/or concessionaire, its agents, or employees, on the site of the Grant County Fair before, during, and after the fair.
6. Vendor will maintain throughout the term of the contract the following insurance against liability arising out of their activities related to this agreement and the event:
   • General Liability Insurance of no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 aggregate.
   • The policy shall name the Grant County Agricultural Association as Additional Insured.
7. The grounds of this event include all Grant County Agricultural Association properties, buildings, and campgrounds.
8. Recommended hours of operation:
   • Wednesday evening: Optional (exhibit entry day)
   • Thursday: Optional (exhibit judging day)
   • Friday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
   • Saturday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
   • Sunday: Optional
9. All exhibitors must check in at the fair office before setting up in assigned locations.
10. All local, state, and federal laws and codes will be enforced at this event. State food license must be displayed inside the stand.
11. Fair does not control prices of goods and services offered for sale, but all prices must be posted, including applicable sales and use taxes.
12. Camping is available for $25.00 per night at designated areas on the Grant County Fairgrounds. Sites will be assigned upon arrival.
13. Exhibitors must provide a fire extinguisher where cooking is done or open flame is present.
14. All exhibits/food concessionaires must clean the area around their booth nightly and dispose of garbage properly.
15. Items not allowed at the Grant County Fair:
    • Exploding or fused devices
    • Knives or swords
    • "X" rated materials or offensive items

The dates for the 2025 Grant County Fair are: July 17 through July 20, 2025

• A copy of your insurance certification and insurance certificate listing Grant County Agricultural Association as additional insured
• A copy of your food vendor license
• A completed Minnesota ST-19 form
• Your payment
• A completed camping agreement, if needed
